Jesse Livingston and Lori Reed
Jesse and Lori bring vibrant and diverse backgrounds to the job. Jesse served in the U.S. Navy as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, where he rendered emergency medical treatment as well as taught other soldiers to administer first aid, including during Iraq deployment. When his service ended, he attended Missouri State University to earn a degree in Recreation, Sport and Park Administration. He recently finished an internship with the North Carolina Outward Bound, taking youth groups backpacking, rock climbing and whitewater canoeing. Jesse is also a Leave No Trace master educator.
Lori earned a degree from Missouri State in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition. She bolstered that with additional coursework in sports and child psychology, then went on to design a Healthy Teens program for her local YMCA, which teaches youth healthy exercise and eating habits. Her volunteer work also included the YMCA’s Tutoring Table, the Learn to Run a 5k Program, and their climbing wall program. Finally, for the past eight years, she has participated and organized events as part of Relay for Life.
Together, the two have volunteered extensively with their local mountain bike club, the Midwest Off Road Cyclists, doing trail work, organizing fundraisers and races, and racing themselves, as a team they’ve dubbed “Beauty and the Beast.” They also love many other outdoor activities, including hiking, adventure racing, and trail running.
