This is where it all began in Tallahassee. The classic 7.5 mile loop runs counter-clockwise, with a divider trail, the Tall Pine Shortcut, bisecting the loop to offer a bit more or less depending on what you need. Take the Luge for an alternate route on your second lap for a variation. Circa 2010 the trail was reinforced with clay and limestone in places to prevent eroding. This significantly increased the average pace attainable through the winding pines. As we locals say, if Munson is too easy, pedal faster.
